Hultafors axes are forged by hand. They have been crafted in the traditional way since 1697.

At Hults Bruk in Östergötland, there are smiths who carry out work that not many others are able to do.
Only a few producers in the world employ smiths who can produce this sort of craftsmanship. Axe heads are forged from Swedish axe steel of a consistently high quality. The steel is struck many times until the axe attains its final form. It's a costly method, but this increases the density of the steel and thereby the durability and life of the axe, particularly if you compare it to axes that are forged with only a few strikes.
Hultafors hardening method leaves a clear hard zone within which the axe can be sharpened whilst not detracting from the strength of the edge. Used correctly, our axes can last for generations.
This is a larger all round Felling Axe without being too big for sustained work. Increased weight to 0.9 kgs and increased shaft length to 66 cm make it a more powerful axe over the Forest variant. It has a blasted axe steel head.
