Go Wild - 101 Things To Do Outdoors Before You Grow Up
We found this title whilst browsing Richard Booth’s bookshop in Hay-on-Wye. (This is one of our favourite bookshops and well worth a visit).
- It is a sensational title full of first class pictures and text - it has all the things children want to do: - building shelters, cooking, making fire, foraging, tools and weapons, keeping safe and much more besides. Now, I must emphasise this is for real children in a real outdoors world. If you are an over-protective parent who likes to keep their children within sight at all times, then this is not a book for you.
- It is brimful of fantastic bush craft and just the type of book that will give your offspring a great introduction to a natural world without computers. Breathing fresh air and living from the land has been captured in such a way that you will want to get involved and family ties will strengthen. Put simply it is delightfully not 'politically correct' but it will take your children down a path to adulthood that may nearly have been lost.
- PS. The book is so good we don’t really think you need children to enjoy it. Just imagine you are fourteen years old again!
